Chaos erupted during the vetting of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa
Members of Parliament on January 30, 2025, overturned tables and destroyed microphones during the vetting process of Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, and Health Minister-designate, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh.
The Minority side protested the inclusion of Okudzeto and Mintah Akandoh on the grounds that the number of people they had agreed to vet had been exceeded.
In an attempt to resist, the Minority overturned tables and destroyed microphones in an altercation with both sides.
Footage from the scenes shows both sides’ MPs engaged in confrontation.
The MP for South Dayi, Rockson Nelson Dafeamokpor, was seen in a banter with a colleague MP.
