More people have reported to Albert Heijn because they became ill after eating blueberries from the supermarket chain. Earlier on Wednesday, it was still about ten people. Later, this increased to twenty people. On Wednesday evening, the chain had received 31 reports.
On Monday, Albert Heijn warned that kilo bags of blueberries from the freezer section of its own brand have been contaminated with hepatitis A. The supermarket chain has recalled the products. Customers can get their money back.
Damage reports
The spokeswoman also speaks of ‘a few damage reports’. “Think of using the deductible for blood tests on the advice of the GP.”
In order to help everyone as best as possible, Albert Heijn has also set up a special team. This team, which is scaled up if necessary, is ready to assist customers ‘quickly, personally and with understanding’.
Albert Heijn does not provide any information about the amounts for possible claims.
